General terms and conditions of sale


La Boutique Effi-Science (hereinafter referred to as the "Site") is an e-commerce site accessible via the Internet at It is open to all users of this network (hereinafter referred to as "Internet users"). It is published by the company E-sciences SA, whose registered office is at Rue Lateral 143, 1180 Brussels, registered in the Brussels Trade and Companies Register under number 0818.060.980.


The Site enables the company E-Sciences to offer food supplements (hereinafter referred to as the "Products") for sale to Internet users browsing the Site (hereinafter referred to as "Users"). For the purposes of these terms and conditions, it is agreed that the User and the company E-Sciences shall be collectively referred to as the "Parties" and individually referred to as the "Party", and that the User who has validated an order shall be referred to as the "Buyer".


The rights and obligations of the User necessarily apply to the Buyer. It is specified that the Products are intended for the personal use of the User, without any direct connection with the User's professional activity. In this respect, the User's attention is particularly drawn to the fact that the amount of his order must not exceed the sum of one thousand euros. The User who wishes to purchase on the Site declares that he/she has full legal capacity.


Any order for a Product offered on the Site implies the consultation and express acceptance of these general terms and conditions of sale, without this acceptance being conditional on a handwritten signature by the User. In accordance with the provisions of the articles relating to the electronic signature, it is recalled that the validation of the order form as specified in article 3.3. below, constitutes an electronic signature which has, between the Parties, the same value as a handwritten signature.

Article 1. Subject
The purpose of the present general terms of sale is to define, throughout the world, exclusively on account of the relations they establish on the Internet network and solely on the Site, the rights and obligations of the Parties arising from the online sale of the Products offered on the Site. These terms and conditions apply to the exclusion of any other document.


Article 2. Products - Prices

2.1. Products
The Products offered for sale by the company E-Sciences are those which appear on the Site, on the day of consultation of the Site by the User, and within the limits of available stocks. The photographs illustrating the Products are not part of the contractual field. If they are inaccurate,E-sciences cannot be held responsible.

2.2. Prices
The prices of the Products are indicated in euros. They take into account the VAT applicable on the day of the order. E-sciences reserves the right, which the User accepts, to modify its prices at any time, but the Products will be invoiced on the basis of the prices in force at the time the order is registered, subject to the availability of the Products.


Article 3. Registration and validation of the order

3.1 Browsing within the
website The User may browse freely through the various pages of the website, without being bound by an order.

3.2 Placing an order
If the User wishes to place an order, he/she will select the various Products in which he/she is interested, and will express said interest by clicking on the "Order" box. At any time, the User may : - obtain a summary of the Products they have selected or modify their order, by clicking on "my basket" accessible at the top right of each page, - complete their selection of Products and order them by clicking on "order". To order the Products they have chosen, the User must identify themselves, either by entering their e-mail address and password, if they are already a customer, or by accurately filling in the form provided, on which they must include the information necessary for identification, in particular their surname, first name and postal address. The User is informed and accepts that the entry of any identifier is proof of his/her identity and demonstrates his/her consent. The User will click on "Next". A summary of the order will then appear on the screen. If the list presented to him/her corresponds to the Products he/she has chosen, the User will validate the summary by clicking on : "Next".

3.3. Final validation of the order
After having taken note of the status of his order, and once all the information requested has been completed by the User, he will choose the means of payment he wishes to use to pay for his order. The User may pay by cheque or by credit card. If the User chooses to pay by cheque, he/she will be directed to a screen showing the address where he/she can send the cheque, mentioning the order number. If they choose "credit card", they will click on the "Validate" box to pay for their order and will then be automatically transferred to the Ogone electronic payment server. The buyer can pay for his purchases by bank card (Visa, Mastercard, Amercian Express or Maestro). It is specified that the BNP bank server is secured by S.S.L. (Secure Socket Layer) encryption in order to protect all data relating to means of payment as effectively as possible, and that at no time will the User's bank details pass through thee-sciences computer system. As soon as he validates the payment, the User returns to the Site. His order is recorded and becomes irrevocable. The User then becomes a Buyer. The order form is recorded on the computer registers ofE-sciences, which are themselves kept on a reliable and durable medium, and will be considered as proof of the contractual relations between the Parties. 3.4. Confirmation of the order Once the User has validated his/her payment, a summary of the order will be sent by e-mail to the e-mail address indicated by the User at the time of his/her identification.


Article 4. Delivery
The order will be executed at the latest within thirty (30) days from the day following the validation by the Buyer of his order.

Terms of delivery E-sciences declines all responsibility in the event of excessive delivery time due to the carrier, as well as in the event of loss of the Products ordered or a postal service strike. It is specified that the transport risks are borne by the Buyer. In the event of a delay in delivery, the Buyer must report this delay as soon as possible to the consumer service E-Sciences, by e-mail sent to or by telephone on 0032 2 351 13 67. Upon receipt of the ordered Products, the Buyer must check the conformity of these Products. Any anomaly concerning the delivery (missing or broken Product, damaged parcel, ...) must be reported by the Buyer on the receipt presented to him by the carrier at the time of delivery of the parcel and must imperatively be notified, on the day of receipt or at the latest on the first working day following receipt, to the consumer service E-Sciences, by e-mail addressed to or by telephone on 0032 2 351 13 67. Any complaint made after this period will be rejected and E-Sciences will be released from all responsibility.


Article 5. Right of withdrawal
The Buyer has a period of fourteen (14) working days to return, at his own expense, the Product(s) he has ordered if he is not satisfied with them. This period runs from the day of delivery of the order. The Product(s) must be returned in its (their) original packaging, accompanied by the stub at the bottom of the invoice or delivery note and the bank details (RIB) on which the money will be reimbursed (a single payment, the veracity of the RIB is the responsibility of the customer), to the following address: E-Sciences - 40 Av. Herrmann Debroux 1160 Brussels- BELGIUM. If the above-mentioned conditions are met, E-Sciences will reimburse the Buyer, within thirty (30) days, the sums corresponding to the products acquired by him.


Article 6. Respect for privacy/Personal information
The personal information collected in the context of distance selling is compulsory, as this information is necessary for the processing and delivery of orders and for the preparation of invoices. This information is strictly confidential. Failure to provide this information will result in automatic rejection of the order. The User has the right to access, modify, rectify and delete data concerning him/her. To exercise this right, the User must send a simple letter to the consumer service E-Sciences - 40 avenue Herrmann Debroux 1160 - BELGIUM or an e-mail to


Article 7. Miscellaneous stipulations

7.1. Force majeure
Neither Party shall be liable for the total or partial non-performance of its obligations under this contract, if such non-performance is caused by an event constituting force majeure. The Party invoking an event of force majeure shall notify the other Party within five working days of the occurrence or threat of such event. The Parties agree that they shall consult each other as soon as possible in order to determine together how the order shall be executed during the period of the force majeure event.

7.2. Partial invalidity
If one or more provisions of these general terms and conditions of sale are held to be invalid or declared as such in application of a law, a regulation or following a definitive decision of a competent court, the other provisions shall retain all their force and scope.

7.3 Integrality of the contract
These general terms and conditions of sale and the order summary sent to the Buyer form a contractual whole and constitute the entirety of the contractual relations between the Parties. In the event of contradiction between these documents, the general conditions of sale shall prevail.

7.4. Applicable law - Competent jurisdiction
These general terms and conditions of sale and the contractual relationship between E-Sciences and the Buyer are subject to Belgian law. Any dispute relating to the interpretation, execution or breach of these general terms and conditions of sale shall, in the absence of an amicable agreement, be under the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Brussels.
